We know, as Christians, that we are abundantly blessed. We can list the blessings: salvation, forgiveness, family, friends, a roof over our heads, more conveniences than any other generation in history. But if we’re honest, there are days when gratitude feels like work. It doesn’t always flow.

My question is simple: why do people cling to conspiracy theories, and what happens to our witness when Christians embrace and share them?

The tricky thing about these habits is that they rarely feel like addictions. They feel like “processing,” or “venting,” or “being real.” They feel justified. They even feel kind of normal, because so many people around us live this way. But slowly, they eat away at our peace, our trust in others, and our witness.
